Course Announcements

There's no class today (2/20) as it is a holiday.

Whenever you upload a new file to your account, you will need to reset the permissions to those files to make it viewable at http://inst.eecs.berkeley.edu/~cs198-xx/lab2

To make them viewable, you need to first SSH into a server.
For Mac Users: In the top right, search for "Terminal".  In Terminal, type the following:
ssh cs198-xx@nova.cs.berkeley.edu
(replace xx with your account name)
For Windows Users: Download PuTTY, and log in to the server "nova.cs.berkeley.edu".

Skip the registration step when you get prompted by hitting CONTROL+C.
Then, type the following:
mkdir public_html
chmod -R 705 ~
You will need to type the chmod command every time you upload a new file.

Then upload your lab files to the public_html directory.  You can find instructions on how to upload in the week 1 lectures.  If you have a Mac, use Cyberduck.  If you have Windows, use WinSCP.

Hey Design section,

Just graded MP1 -- nice job! I don't know for sure, but I'd say the average is in the high 90's. If you have a question about your grade, please feel free to email me. 

The most common mistake was forgetting to include emailform.php in the same folder as your contact.html file. If you didn't do this, your form would show up correctly, but the submit button wouldn't work. 

Also, your grades should now accurately reflect your passing status in the class. If you are still in the "No Pass" category, please feel free to email me so we can figure everything out.
